Problem Description
This isn't the biggest deal. It's a minor one that just annoying. But it should be extremely to fix.
When I open Flow Launcher and use it to open a program like Google Chrome, window is in focus and the carat is located in the address bar! It's perfect.
But occasionally, I'll change my mind and press alt-space (my Flow Launcher hotkey) to close the Flow Launcher window without opening a new program. This should return the focus back to the original window with the carat exactly where it was before.
Unfortunately, this isn't the case. The original window I was working on is not in focus. And typing on my keyboard results in nothing happening. 😢
The solution would return focus back to the original window that was in focus and the carat should be located in its original location prior to my opening Flow Launcher.
To Reproduce
- Stop typing on whatever document you are working on.
- Press alt-space, the hotkey to open the Flow Launcher window.
- The Flow Launcher window opens.
- Change your mind about opening a new program and press alt-space again.
- The Flow Launcher window disappears.
- You try to start typing on the "whatever" document you were working on in step 1. Unfortunately, nothing happens. The carat is nowhere to be found.
