Civil Engineer | Shelter, Disaster Risk Reduction & Post-Disaster Response | Structures, Hydraulics, Planning Ingénieur d'État en Génie Civil (EMSI Marrakech, 2024), Morocco
I work with the IFRC on the response to the 2023 Al Haouz earthquake, in the villages of the High Atlas.
- Shelter: damage assessment of houses (including traditional earth and stone construction), drawings and bills of quantities for repairs, quality control of repair works, review of an engineering subcontractor's work, field team supervision and training of local masons.
- Disaster risk reduction: technical lead on 46 community micro-projects in 30 villages (water tanks, irrigation channels, drainage, check dam, gabions, rockfall protection), built by local associations. Designed about 1 km of rural road rehabilitation with 7 culverts, and led rockfall and flood risk assessments for mountain villages.
- From October 2026: Roving Shelter Officer, closing the programme across three regions.
Before that: civil works on the Casablanca-Settat seawater desalination plant (Eurocodes, reinforced-concrete execution drawings, bar bending schedules, Primavera P6), an 18,000 m³ retention basin at OCP Benguerir, and structural design of a R+5+2 building (BAEL / RPS 2011).
- pylone-telecom-nv65-cm66: 25 m telecom lattice tower modelled in Robot, then checked by hand (Calcpad) and by my own Python tool (NV65 wind, CM66 buckling, 3D solver validated against Robot). The checks found errors in my own model, documented with the fixes.
- Dimensionnement-des-Bassins-de-retentions: Python tools for retention-basin sizing (rainfall method) and pump power / emptying time.
- primavera-bassin-ben-guerir: Primavera P6 planning and resource model of a retention basin, Ben Guerir.
