A skill for coding agents to declare AI usage transparency via the DimwitLabs AI-DECLARATION.md spec.

Motivation

Disclosing your AI usage helps others to understand your open source contribution better and more effectively.

Installation

Drop the skill into your agent's skills directory. For example:

Usage

/ai-declare copilot   # declare at `copilot` level
/ai-declare           # let the agent guide you through the declaration

The skill creates/updates AI-DECLARATION.md and adds a badge to your README.md, then validates the result against the spec API so mistakes are caught rather than shipped.

Levels

Level	Meaning
none	Human acts on the task alone with no AI involvement.
hint	Human acts on the task and the AI surfaces suggestions passively.
assist	Human prompts and the AI acts on a part of the task.
pair	Human prompts as both human and AI both act on the task equally; Human understands internals clearly.
copilot	Human prompts and AI acts on the whole task, prompting the Human for permission or clarification.
auto	Human prompts and AI acts autonomously bringing the task to completion.
