Top and bottom placements for Edge-Drop

The newly introduced taskbar positions in the latest stable release ( 2026-08 Preview Update (KB5120998) (26200.9278) (2) ) has brought awareness to two positions i'd like to be introduced: Top and bottom.

Since the taskbars can now be positioned on left, right, top or bottom, it'd be greatly appreciated so it doesnt interfere with regular operations.

I'm adding an example for the taskbar pos for the same below.

@atulyya yeah i am thinking about that and i am in the process of dropping a new update in few days its in polishing and refinement phase and after that i have a idea on improving top and bottom placement i have looked at some references first i am changing the look of the app to be more user intuitive and less cluttered

and the reference for the top is something like

this one is not a is not a real image of EdgeDrop its just a reference and inspiration that i might be taking while building the top and bottom view

any idea or reference you have will be great to have a more idea

The updated UI looks really good to be honest.

If i do find references, I will share here itself. But the reference you shared looks super clean. I'd be down for something similar.

@atulyya ok , happy to hear that you liked the new ui and i have added a emojis section too so you can use emojis if you want and no need to go to Win+V for that too.

ohh thats very nice. and just out of curiosity, have you given any more thought to 90hz or 120hz implementation?

@atulyya i have changed the animation to be more polished and precise and it will be noticeable in both Edgedrop and the copy indicator both
