Reconcile NEXT_TASKS through 2026-07-25 - #132

Conversation
Records what the four compounding ranking defects were and that the reports are regenerated as of #131, so the stale top-10 triage list is not reused. Marks the deliberate non-goals (solutions not relocated; merge_yaml not adopted as ranking input) so they are not re-litigated from scratch. Pull request overview
Updates the project backlog/status log (NEXT_TASKS.md) to reflect work shipped through 2026-07-25 and to document the rationale behind recent deep-research ranking changes so the lane can be resumed without re-litigating prior decisions.
Changes:
- Marks #124/#127/#129 as shipped via #128/#131/#130, and updates the “Open issues” list accordingly.
- Adds a consolidated explanation of why the deep-research ranking is now trustworthy and why the pre-#131 triage list is superseded.
- Expands the historical notes for #124/#127/#129 with explicit non-goals and reasoning (e.g., why
merge_yamlis not ranking input).

Marks #124/#127/#129 shipped, records why the deep-research ranking is now trustworthy and that the pre-#131 triage list is superseded, and captures the deliberate non-goals (solutions not relocated to
solutions/;merge_yamlrejected as ranking input, with the reason) so they aren't re-litigated.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
