I'm a student, open-source advocate, and hands-on builder with a soft spot for resilient communications, useful tools, and hardware that people can understand and repair.
I believe technology should be something people can use on their own terms. That belief is what keeps me exploring open-source software, open hardware, mesh radio, automation, and the odd rabbit hole that starts with “I wonder if this is possible.”
I founded and lead Gulf Coast Mesh, a volunteer-built communications network rooted in Louisiana and growing across the Gulf Coast. We use MeshCore and other mesh-radio technologies to help communities build decentralized, off-grid communication infrastructure that can keep working when conventional networks do not.
Alongside an incredible group of volunteers and industry partners, I help grow the network, maintain its infrastructure, and make mesh communication more approachable for the people who need it.
| Project | What it is |
|---|---|
| Gulf Coast Mesh | A community-run, volunteer-built mesh communications network for Louisiana and the wider Gulf Coast. |
| The Grumpy Board | A MeshCore radio designed with GrumpyMesh; the first run sold out in under six hours. |
| Gulf Coast Mesh Analyzer | Network monitoring and logging infrastructure for owned repeaters, helping us spot outages and maintain a strong mesh. |
| Gulf Coast Mesh App | A free companion app for MeshCore LoRa radios, supporting encrypted off-grid communication without cell service, Wi-Fi, or internet. |
- Languages: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, Rust, Bash, and PowerShell
- Infrastructure: Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, GitHub, MQTT, and containers
- Hardware: PCB design, 3D modeling, reverse engineering, LoRa, and mesh radio
- The fun stuff: Automation, plugins, community tools, modular systems, and learning in public
I'm always happy to meet people interested in open source, community infrastructure, mesh networking, or making useful things.
