…guide (R-41/R-04) Reviewed plain-language pass (target ~grade 6-8) over the in-app EN/ES bundles and the setup guide, with a dated review record so the roadmap "reviewed pass" exit criterion has an artifact. In-app copy (app/i18n/en.json, es.json — values only + two additive help keys): - De-jargon: "Device fingerprint" -> "Device ID", "Chain of custody" -> "Evidence trail", "Awaiting timestamp" -> "Waiting for timestamp", "Content hash" -> "Content fingerprint", "Resolve awaiting timestamps" -> "Get missing timestamps"; plainer tagline/description; clearer timeline field labels (Kind->Type, Text->What happened) and matching error strings. - Added two in-context help strings wired via aria-describedby: an honesty note that the practice (dev) timestamp is untrusted, and a sealed-originals note about residual location/metadata. - Spanish de-lawyered (habitabilidad -> vivienda) and its timestamp term standardized on "sello de tiempo" (was mixed with "marca de tiempo"). - Honest-limits strings (alpha_*, verify_*, custody_*, capture_timestamped_no, footer_note) kept at full strength. EN/ES key + placeholder + plural parity unchanged (tests/test_app_i18n.py, scripts/check_i18n_parity.py: 96 keys). Setup guide: shorter sentences, one action per step, jargon glossed on first use (fingerprint tied to the app's "Device ID", packet, peer-to-peer, ciphertext-only relay). Docs: dated review record at docs/audits/plain-language-review.md (target, method, every term changed, and what remains for a native-speaker / stressed- user pass); ROADMAP item marked shipped; execution-log R-04 moved to Done and R-41 copy work noted done; CHANGELOG Unreleased entry. Validation: make test (196 passed, 2 integration deselected) and make i18n (G1/G3/G6 gates) green; app axe + keyboard + accessibility tests exercise both locales.
