Screen capturing crashes when capturing window of 2nd screen

Description

Just installed Cap on a new MacBook. Granted all permissions. Wanted to record a video of a window on my external screen connected via HDMI.

Task 'screen_capture' failed: Panicked: Failed to start capture:
Retained(Error(Error Domain=com.apple.ScreenCaptureK-it.SCStreamErrorDomain Code=--3812 "Failed due to an invalid parameter" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Failed due to an invalid parameter}))

Reproduction

1. Move a window to an external screen
2. Open Cap, select the window, capture
3. On the internal screen, a "dim-overlay" and the error message are shown

It's always the same error and I can always reproduce it.

Additional Context

• Cap version: 0.3.60
• Operating system, version: macOS 15.5
• Device (optional): MBP M4 Pro

The log file/folder does not exist, so I can't add logs.

The ScreenCaptureKit integration has been substantially reworked since this was reported. This specific error is believed resolved, please re-test on the latest version and open a fresh issue with logs if recording a window on a second screen still fails.
