[Feature Request]: Make videos private by default.

Currently, videos recorded are automatically shared on the internet via a short link. Seems like the default workflow should be private and you can turn on shareable link as needed.

For self-hosted instances, there's already an environment variable CAP_VIDEOS_DEFAULT_PUBLIC (packages/env/server.ts:76) that can be set to false to make videos private by default. This is used when creating videos in multiple places:

• apps/web/actions/video/upload.ts:212
• apps/web/actions/video/create-for-processing.ts:87
• apps/web/app/api/desktop/[...route]/video.ts:246
• packages/web-backend/src/Videos/index.ts:410

However, this is currently a server-wide setting, not a per-user preference. The schema at packages/database/schema.ts:327 defaults public to true.

Implementing this as a user preference would require:

1. Adding a field like videosDefaultPublic to the users table or organization settings
2. Updating the video creation paths listed above to check the user's preference instead of the server env var
3. Adding a toggle in the user settings UI

The SharingDialog component at apps/web/app/(org)/dashboard/caps/components/SharingDialog.tsx already handles the public/private toggle after creation, so it could serve as a reference for the settings UI.

Hey! The default flow is that Instant Mode recordings are shareable, yes. This is by design. You can add a password to a video or make it private to a specific space.

If you want it truly local, you can use Studio Mode, which records and stores the file entirely on device.

ah, thank you @richiemcilroy for quick response! I missed that. Fwiw I did ask the chat Support and it didn't know of a way to record Private by default, if that's possible to add to its knowledge.
