This is the changes that I suggested for making the typing for
Candidatea little tidier. The channel data gets added as a dictionary indatarather than as separate keys. This avoids the need for casts and makes the typing work better.I will leave it up to you if you want to merge this into your branch. I thought this would be better than making the changes directly on the branch you were working on.
