🌦 Clima AI β€” IoT Weather Monitoring & Forecasting System

An Arduino-based IoT weather station that reads a suite of environmental sensors and logs timestamped readings to an SD card for monitoring and forecasting.

Category: IoT / Environmental Sensing Β· Platform: Arduino + sensor array + SD logging

🎯 Overview

Clima AI continuously samples atmospheric and environmental parameters β€” light, gas concentrations, temperature, pressure, humidity, water level, rainfall, sound, and wind speed β€” and records them to an SD card. The captured logs can then be analysed to monitor local conditions and support short-term forecasting.

🧰 Components

Sensor / Part Measures
LDR Light intensity
MQ-7 Carbon monoxide (CO)
MQ-6 LPG / combustible gas
LM35 Temperature
Humidity sensor Relative humidity
MPX4115A Barometric pressure
Water-level sensor Water level
Rain-drop sensor Rainfall
Sound sensor Ambient noise
Wind-speed meter Wind speed
LPC1768 / Arduino Microcontroller
SD card module Data logging
Breadboard, jumper wires Prototyping

πŸ“ˆ Sample Data

A captured serial log is included in SD Card data file.txt:

11:12:01.563 -> LDR: 85
11:12:01.563 -> MQ7: 64
11:12:01.563 -> Water Level: 413
11:12:01.563 -> Rain Drop: 37

Note: the sketch in final_code_without_sd_card/ is a servo-driver example; the actual weather-logging behaviour is evidenced by the captured SD-card serial log above.

βš™οΈ Getting Started

  1. Wire the sensors to the microcontroller per the circuit schematics (wms electric circuit final1.jpg, wms electric circuit final 2.jpg).
  2. Open the sketch in the Arduino IDE.
  3. Install required libraries (e.g. SD, sensor-specific libraries).
  4. Upload to the board and open the Serial Monitor / insert an SD card to log.
