Context

For the cloud deployment, we need a virtualization hypervisor that enables scalable deployment of 1000+ databases for researchers (where 90% will not be in use within a work week).

Options Considered

• Docker Compose (standalone)
• Kubernetes
• System Daemons

Decision

We will use Kubernetes as cloud deployment for all core services (all services) and the databases.
