The security advisory is for a dependency of winit that is only relevant for our examples. The simplest fix would be to tell sctk-adwaita to use skrifa as its text rendering backend but this is not released yet.

Since my previous comment there were two security advisories published for quick-xml. We depend on it in two ways: through wayland-scanner (only affects our winit examples) and zbus-lockstep (at build-time on Linux and on trusted input). There is no new version of wayland-scanner, and zbus_xml (used by zbus-lockstep) dropped quick-xml in its latest release but it require Rust 1.87.

I am going to release knowing all of this.
