Public readiness snapshot for x402 buyer-agent trust fields #2

Hi — I prepared a short public-evidence Agentic Readiness Snapshot for AgentData API.

Reviewed capability: x402 crypto market data API for AI agents — 16 endpoints, pay-per-request with USDC on Base.

Snapshot verdict: PARTIAL_READY_WITH_TRUST_GAPS.

What is already strong from the public repo:

  • agent-focused crypto market data API;
  • x402 / HTTP 402 payment flow;
  • USDC on Base Mainnet;
  • pay-per-request monetization;
  • self-hosted facilitator pattern.

The buyer-agent trust gaps I’d still map before unattended paid usage:

  • endpoint-level price manifest before invocation;
  • who or what authorizes agent spend;
  • per-session/day/domain caps;
  • receipt fields linking request -> payment -> data response;
  • revocation/budget-reduction path and effective time.

Concrete risk: even if x402 payment works, a buyer-agent cannot safely spend unless it can verify price, authority, cap, receipt, and revocation in machine-readable form.

Next safe step: publish a buyer-agent readiness card for one paid endpoint with exact price, allowed chain/token, spend cap, receipt schema, and revocation path.

If useful, I can turn this snapshot into a full Agentic Channel Readiness Sprint for one AgentData endpoint. Fixed scope: $99 USDT/USDC after non-secret qualification. Deliverables: readiness report, JSON/Markdown buyer-agent card, authority/spend map, receipt/audit requirements, revocation path, and next safe implementation step.

No private keys, seed phrases, raw API keys, wallet credentials, session tokens, customer data, or production payment access needed — public docs and redacted examples are enough.
