Character spacing and div padding show up wonky in tutorials

Another quick finding when I played with Makerstrap to make the tutorial for this starter resource prettier: https://thimble.webmaker.org/project/43402/remix

I found that the spacing of characters, and padding of divs (especially of any elements) was a bit inconsistent, causing me to need to manually set hacky padding in the tutorial code: https://thimble.webmaker.org/project/43400/edit

Again though, might just be me being dense and missing something :)
