During build I got this error.

We had the same issue in our project while updating react-native to version 0.71.6, we could solve the problem adding a kotlinVersion variable to our build.gradle file.

This is how the build.gradle of this library is taking the kotlinVersion:
def kotlin_version = rootProject.ext.has('kotlinVersion') ? rootProject.ext.get('kotlinVersion') : project.properties['Shortcuts_kotlinVersion']

this is how it looks like our build.gradle:
