Brainstorming ahead of Thursday workshop

I think it would be cool to brainstorm a bit on interesting enhancements/changes to this project ahead of the workshop this Thursday. What would be reasonable next steps for this mini project? This repo fork can be a playground that does not mess with the things already submitted to Alexander.
