Albums / Recently Added view

In addition to the "Library", "Artists", and "Playlists" views, it would be nice to have an "Albums" view which shows all albums in a grid. Clicking on an album would open the track listing, or simply jump to the album in the "Artist" view.

Ideally, this could be sorted by date added to the library (or file creation date etc.). However others might prefer to sort alphabetically. Some options would be nice :)

Here is an example from Windows Media Player, which I think they do particularly well.

About album view: I thought about it, but I haven't found a "Museeks" way of displaying those (simple, to the point, not a lot of clicks and crazy page transitions).

I kinda assumed that the Artist view would feel that gap, but I understand that it's not exactly an Album view.

This is definitely on my mind.

Regarding "Recently Added" view I don't knoooow. In a way, I consider that as noise, but I am probably wrong.

I kind of put it in the same bucket as a file tree view, a thing also requested by others.

In a way, I want Museeks to have an "opinionated simplicity", in the other hand, I don't want to frustrate users haha.

As a CD collector, I usually rip a few CDs every week, so I like being able to see the recent ones at the top. So that's where I'm coming from. Figured there was no harm in asking!

The Artist view is quite good, I like it a lot!

Hi, I just downloaded Museeks and after using it for a while, I came to check if there was an albums view. I think it would be a great addition and when using a music player, it is definitely a feature that I would expect to see.

Has there been anymore thought about possibly adding it since this discussion was started?
