Issues with the jpilot packages

Hi all,
kind of a newbie on Linux here so hope you can help me.

Following the instrutions on how to install it, but I run into this issue:

Error: Unable to locate package jpilot
Error: Unable to locate package jpilot-plugins

Anyone have any idea on what to do?

@Kendric01980 Can you give us a bit more detail on how you got these error messages?

What Linux version are you running? What distribution? Debian? Ubuntu? Fedora? Arch? Other?

Each distribution has its own packaging tools and processes, and packages can end up with different names, depending on the distribution and who packaged them.

A bit more detail will help us, help you!

I can replicate what @Kendric01980 experienced.

On a fresh Debian 13 installation:

$ sudo apt install jpilot jpilot-plugins
[sudo] password for REDACTED: 
Error: Unable to locate package jpilot
Error: Unable to locate package jpilot-plugins

The key information about the failure shows with sudo apt update:

There are a few things that could be happening here, but basically your debian repository on packagecloud.io is insecure and will not install by default.

Reading through the remaining issues, this is most likely a duplicate of #57

Thanks, but at that point it's just simpler for me to clone the repo and build locally... which is what I ended up doing. Sent from Proton Mail for Android.
