We could add a field to make it so that chores show a specific due date and then change the background color to yellow for day of and red for late. This would blur the lines a bit more between chores and dated todo list I think?

Actually I am thinking of this for one off chores, not recurring! For example, a family member coming to stay with us next weekend, and I want my husband to prep the sheets and guest towels. He can do it any day between now and next Friday, so I want him to see it on the list but he needs a reminder that is has to be done by a certain date (can't exactly put it off till after the guests come!) or another example would be asking my daughter to pick out her clothes for vacation. She can start now but I need to be able to check what she has ready a day or two before. Do those examples help? Is there a better feature that already exists for this? Thanks for the engagement!
