Omnibook 3 14-hz0088dx bringup

Might be a little off topic but i recently got an omnibook 3 14-hz0088dx. I'm curious what i would need to change to get the iso booting on it i can provide whatever information might help. I really hate being stuck on windows XD

Hi @lukeroundy,

let'S discuss in a separate issue. Since none of the existing DTs work, its a bit harder. Let's look at data we can get:

From Windows

• please install hwinfo64 (its also arm64), and export the log from the devices tree. This helps to identify which hardware should be active.
• also please extract the acpi tables with the Intel acpica toolkit. The dsdt table gives further orientation about I/Os. Extracting AeoB sections from the drivers would also be nice, but its harder.

From the ISO

• boot with the Omnibook 5 entry and film what messages scroll until it fails. That vid may help to get a trace.

not sure if this helps but i think its failing to boot the display.

Hah good one. Please see here, just wrote this. To get behind that you could try the Lenovo Ideapad Slim5x OLED or LCD dtb, with some risk (could be wrong vregs, not good for the hw). It would at least confirm the theory of a rogue PS8830 definition causing the black screen / reboot.

Hi @lukeroundy , there is a new Resolute image to test if you can boot. Currently uploading to Google Drive. You also could try to use the Ideapad Slim3 entry if the Omnibook 5 one crashes.

no luck with either of the options i did try x14 as well.
