From f64defcd643af31a2a335f2e1aed38331a2e76b6 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Guangyang Li Date: Thu, 17 Sep 2026 21:25:04 -0400 Subject: [PATCH] Add the Framework :: Matplotlib PyPI classifier PyPI lets people browse packages by trove classifier, and `Framework :: Matplotlib` is the facet for matplotlib-related packages: https://pypi.org/search/?c=Framework+%3A%3A+Matplotlib PyWaffle is not in it today. The matplotlib third-party package list asks contributors to set the classifier, and its page points readers at that facet to find packages beyond the ones listed there, so being absent costs visibility in both places. Verified the string against the canonical pypa/trove-classifiers list and confirmed it reaches the built metadata: Classifier: Framework :: Matplotlib Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 --- CHANGELOG.md | 8 ++++++++ pyproject.toml | 1 + 2 files changed, 9 insertions(+) diff --git a/CHANGELOG.md b/CHANGELOG.md index 039cac6..7fa0628 100644 --- a/CHANGELOG.md +++ b/CHANGELOG.md @@ -1,3 +1,11 @@ +Unreleased + +Other + +* Add the `Framework :: Matplotlib` PyPI trove classifier, so PyWaffle appears under the [Matplotlib framework facet](https://pypi.org/search/?c=Framework+%3A%3A+Matplotlib) on PyPI.
