GrandNode 2.4.0 is out

[KrzysztofPajak]

GrandNode 2.4.0 was released on October 4. It's the biggest release since 2.0, so here's a short overview. The full release notes are here: https://github.com/grandnode/grandnode2/releases/tag/2.4.0

What changed

• .NET 10. MediatR and AutoMapper are replaced by our own small libraries (Grand.Mediator, Grand.Mapping).
• The storefront moved to Vue 3, Bootstrap 5 and Vite, with dark mode and two themes: the new Nordic Editorial and a rewritten Modern.
• New Store manager panel (/store): each store owner runs their own store without access to the main admin. Useful if you host many shops on one install.
• The admin panel no longer uses Kendo UI. Admin, Store and Vendor panels share one component layer with Tabulator grids.
• Better structured data for products (availability, ratings, shipping, return policy), a signed Docker image on GHCR with SBOM, and a long list of security fixes.

Upgrading

Please read the upgrade notes in the release before you upgrade a production store. In short: you need the .NET 10 SDK/runtime, and plugins that use MediatR, AutoMapper or Kendo widgets, as well as custom themes and admin view overrides, need updating.

Try it

• Demo: https://demo.grandnode.com (admin: admin@yourstore.com / 123456, resets daily)
• Docker: grandnode/grandnode2:2.4.0 on Docker Hub or ghcr.io/grandnode/grandnode2:2.4.0
