Tuesday Agenda Points

• Glamsterdam
  • PRs to be merged to forks/amsterdam?
  • 10 minutes discussing what needs to be done to sign off on Glamsterdam:
    • EIP Checklists, EIP-8070 (and tests in hive), all tests passing on clients, mainnet tests prep for testnets etc.
  • Moving EIPs to SFI on next ACDE (@jochem-brouwer) (<5 minutes)
    • Plus: using ACDT per EIP-7723 to determine SFI-able EIPs in the future (ratified in next ACD[E/C])
• Hegota
  • Assign someone to FOCIL (EL side to help Jihoon).
  • Assign someone else to work on frame txs.
• Benchmarking
  • New benchmark release with compute tests?
  • Reviews on full tests suite, add extra coverage for areas that might be missing (find the gaps).
  • Assign someone on EIP-8024 benchmark tests.
• zkEVM / EL SSZ cross over, merging parts of projects/zkevm into forks/amsterdam
• Converting all the ported static tests to actual python tests @marioevz
  • Porting all the remaining legacy tests, fill all tests from Frontier?

Benchmarking

• Discussion of state benchmarks performing worse with state actor vs. snapshot.
  • Jochem & Louis looking into, discuss more in benchmarking call.
  • Should not impact too much for repricing numbers.
• Need more eyes still on coverage for worst case tests.

Glamsterdam

Just need to merge: ethereum/execution-specs#3116
Unskip all EIP-8037 ported static tests.

Loose Glamsterdam check off items (just to realign):

• EIP Checklists, EIP-8070 (and simulator in hive), all tests passing on clients, mainnet execute tests prep for testnets.
• Benchmark finalize numbers, all areas covered (EIP-8024 check all Glamsterdam EIPs are covered).
  • Make sure clients are passing all benchmark tests within a safe enough margin for 300M.
  • At testnet (and for mainnet have UI in benchmarkoor). This is a "consensus" check we should verify.
    • Flag when client performance drops, future proofing for further increases.

Hegota

For now, loosely:

Prio is still Glamsterdam, re-align & assign more on these next week!

Thursday

• forks/bogota will wait until we are at the testnet stage of glamsterdam, we still want to refactor the specs for now.
  • Work on FOCIL shall be done in the eips/bogota/eip-7805 branch within src/ethereum/forks/amsterdam/ for the spec.
  • Frames shall be done in the eips/bogota/eip-8141 branch within src/ethereum/forks/amsterdam/ for the spec.
  • Tests/framework changes can be done in tests/ and packages/testing in the Amsterdam fork.
  • This will all migrate to forks/bogota within src/ethereum/forks/bogota/ accordingly, once the first Glamsterdam Testnet is up and running.
• @LouisTsai-Csie will create PRs for all the glamsterdam devnet 6 benchmarking changes to forks/amsterdam so benchmarking is up to date with glamsterdam devnet 7.
• Sync more on ssz vectors in EELS during next Tuesdays call!
• Team still prioritizing glamsterdam EIPs (specs/tests review).
