Ace currently emits a serious error if accessMode metadata isn't specified and a moderate error if accessModeSufficient isn't specified.
The upcoming 1.2 standard reverses these so accessModeSufficient is now required metadata and accessMode is recommended. Once it becomes a recommendation Ace will need to change its reporting accordingly. We don't have a definite date for REC yet, but the current Candidate Recommendation period runs until October 19.
