Hey @hotrush, not sure the exact issue here! This action has been deprecated in favour of the unified buf-action. The --username deprecation is resolved in the new action but it does look like a temporary blit. Are you able to retry?

If you are able to migrate to the new action please check out the migration guide. Let me know if you have any issues.

The error "Failure: the server hosted at that remote is unavailable." will be the CI job is unable to reach the buf instance. It won't be an issue from the action running.

@emcfarlane so you suppose this is github issue? Do you know what we can do? We use regular runner, nothing special.

@emcfarlane so, we found the issue - it was incorrect API token (was pasted twice to the secret). I think it makes sense to adjust error message for cases when token is wrong 😄

@hotrush glad you fixed it! Tested and am not able to reproduce this behaviour. The token error should be:

Failure: invalid token provided for buf.build

If you have --debug logs it might help to see what request was failing.
