[Windows] Pending upgrade to RN@0.81, RN@0.82

Update, 2025.10.12 — RN@0.82 is out, and adopted in the lib v0.25.0. Microsoft team behind RN for Windows is hopelessly behind, still not having arrived to RN@0.81.

• RN@0.81 is here. The plan is first to ensure RN@0.80 is correctly supported on Windows both by this library ([Windows] Pending upgrade to RN@0.80 #144) and by @dr.pogodin/react-native-fs ([Windows] Pending upgrade to RN@0.80 react-native-fs#113), and only then to upgrade the library to RN@0.81.

  • Done for Android, iOS, macOS.
  • Pending for Windows — the Microsoft team is still incapable to catch up with the RN release cadence, their latest react-native-windows, released last week, is still at 0.80.0-preview.2. Thus, for Windows you should prefer the previous v0.23.0 of this library with RN@0.80.

• Lighttpd@1.4.80 is also here. I guess the plan is to first adopt it, making it work for all platforms with RN@0.80; and only then to look into the upgrade to RN@0.81. — Done in v0.23.0.
