fatal error: rpc/xdr.h: No such file or directory

Describe the bug
when i compile the source, get some errors such like "tierra.h:361:10: fatal error: rpc/xdr.h: No such file or directory".

To Reproduce
runs on Ubuntu,following the project guide.
stop at make cmd.

Expected behavior
compile success

Sorry for the delay. The reason is that I was working in a virtual machine environment. It must be run on a physical machine.

I also encountered the same bug. It appears that this issue isn't related to the virtual machine environment, as I am using a physical Ubuntu environment (although it is a dual boot).

Here are environment details:

• OS: Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
• gcc version: gcc (Ubuntu 11.4.0-1ubuntu1~22.04) 11.4.0

Besides, I suspect this issue could be caused by unproper include directory settings. I followed the solution provided here, but it didn't solve the problem. It led to the following errors:

I have been able to reproduce the error using the conditions you provided.

This repository was originally tested and verified to work on Ubuntu 20.04.
Therefore, at this time, the options I can recommend are:

1. Run Tierra on Ubuntu 20.04
2. Resolve the issue occurring on Ubuntu 22.04
   (I'm also investigating this issue, but it may take some time.)

I've looked into it a bit again, but haven't found a solution yet.
If you need this soon, please consider running it on Ubuntu 20.04.
