I hope you are still using/working on this, as it is exactly what I think I could use for my setup. I have ROS noetic on Ubuntu working on a remote robot that is working great but has older hardware and I do not want to move it to ROS2. I monitor the robot with a machine running ROS2 (i'm OK with whatever version is needed, but currently iron) and connected via ssh. I'm familiar with both ROS and ROS2.
I'd like to be able to use RVIZ on the local machine as well as sending ROS messages and services.
I've looked at your dockerfile and instructions but am unclear on what to run on the remote machine and what to run locally.
Any help would be much appreciated.
