Setup note of beams in ESAPI ?

I am looking for a way to read the setup note of fields in ESAPI (Eclipse).
A good colleague told me that it is not possible, but I cannot really believe that.
Does anyone have a helpful tip?

Hope Varian would be helpful and add this feature to the API.
