[BUG] SteamVR 2.17.4 crashes randomly when in-game via Steam Link

Describe the bug
I have a similar issue to #912, where the initial connection is succesful, but in HL:Alyx when trying to load any save, it begins loading, connection is lost, steamvr shows the error, but the game finishes loading into the level. Sometimes it even crashes the whole steam app, but not always.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: RTX 3060 Ti 8GB - 610.43.03
RAM: 32GB DDR4

The logs were from a session where the crash happened with starting Barony (non-VR game), but after playing 10 mins of HL:Alyx with no issues

Start HL2 VR as a test -> Play HL:Alyx for about 10-15 minutes -> start Barony (crash)
