Brief summary of your request
options panel/tray options for adapter offline/online
Request details
Hello Tim,
Is it possible to extend the app with an options tab that allows you to:
Toggle all connected adapters on or off individually, or simultaneously with a single action.
Set a countdown timer per individual adapter or globally for all adapters, automatically bringing them back online after a specified number of minutes.
Implement a fallback (safety) timer to guarantee that a specific adapter — or all adapters — will be turned back on, even if something goes wrong.
Save these settings as a configuration profile, which can be applied directly from the system tray (right-click menu). This allows you to create, switch between, and use multiple adapter configurations for different scenarios.
Automatically turn a specific adapter (or all adapters) on or off a set number of minutes after GMP starts up.
Offer advanced scheduling options to bring adapters online or offline: disable selected adapters on chosen days, at specific times, and/or on a recurring interval, with automatic re-enablement after a defined period. For VPN connections this can be very useful for restoring speed if the connection becomes sluggish.
In the system tray, provide a right-click option on the icon to apply any of the created configurations. Optionally, the icon should visually indicate whether a lock or timer is currently active.
