Purely a stylistic suggestion:
The current pink/red of landuse=retail is very reminiscent of Carto's landuse=military. Although this isn't Carto and, in fact, landuse=military is not currently rendered at all (shortbread-tiles/shortbread-docs#111), my suggestion would be to chose a different colour for retail.
(FWIW, I'd be inclined to use the same colour for retail and commercial and maybe go with a burnt orange or something like that rather than pink/red).
