C and F mixup

Describe the bug
I have a TOSOT mini split. This integration works pretty well. I have an issue where the setpoint all works in C, the remote is set to C, but the temperature the unit reports is in F, while it says it is C. Funny thing is that the temperatures use to report in C. It was working. After a power outage it reverted to F. Some units did, then others. Now they all are. Below is a output from my developer tools look at the climate entity.

Any advise on how to fix this?

Are you sure that's F? seems like the usual reporting of C+40º offset that some units have.

You are right! I just did the math and its not F. Its exactly 40 degrees off! But it seems to change. Its not constant. So I am not sure I can use the offset feature to fix this.

While, I did click the offset button and it did fix the issue for now, but I still have units that change on me for unknown reasons. Some heads have offsets enabled and others do not. So I am not sure this is a reliable fix. I might just keep doing wack-a-mole.

But we are much closer to getting this figured out!

Hi

I have same issue from few days ago . There are 6 indoor units Gree U-match R32 , duct probably GUD50PS/B-S
with wired remote control XE43 that include wifi
The units are linked to HA with this component and function correctly from 6 month , with all updates
Now only one have displayed inside temperature with 40 degreese more ( 64 instead of 24 )
I dont have any offset button so i cant correct this
Can you help me with this info ?

The offset button is under the gree integration -> device settings. It’s at the bottom of the screen where you select what functions to enable for your heads. Like which swing settings to permit.

It does seem like it’s the same issue though. Would be great if you could confirm at least that that button at least temporarily fixes things for you.

I found out the setting and it worked
Strange thing is that i have 6 identical indoor units and only one was making this jump to +40 offset
The wired remotes have same firmware and i was not making any changes in HA or in Gree App
Let's hope we do not start to chase on / off offsets

Yup. Thats very similar to what I experienced. All the same heads, all the same settings. Working then not. I do think something changed when I did a power reset of the unit. But I could be mistaken. The power where I am isn’t great, so there will be occasional resets. In my case it was intentional as I had a head not connecting. The power reset worked… but… I know in other places I have lived the power is nearly 100% reliable so resets would almost never happen.
