SU5.1 and SU6 Beta Compatibility

I have tried every single method and still wont work, I reinstalled msfs too and just doesnt work? I keep getting Compatibility issue everytime i try to launch it. Everytime its in the tray i go to open it and instant pops out with a cmd prompt and closes Autofps with the cmd prompt. How do u fix this problem?

Are you running the latest 0.5.2.0 app version? If not, please update to it as older app versions are not necessarily compatible with SUs 5.1 and 6, but the latest version is.

Make sure the app and MSFS are NOT installed with administrator privileges. Also, try using the default installation options for the app ie no close to system tray.

If still having an issue, attach your latest app log file, located in %appdata%/MSFS_AutoFPS/log, and I will take a look at what is going on.

I have looked through your logs and note that the app was working normally in the first one, but then started failing compatibility in the second one right after the app abruptly ended and you restarted the app 16 seconds later. What exactly happened on your system around this time? Did MSFS CTD?

In any case, by the end of the second log you got it working again and hopefully that is still the case. Nonetheless, I do note that when the app initially failed here that it should probably have reset the saved compatibility passes so that it could have done a full compatibility test next run, so I will update the app to do this:

I will await your confirmation of what happened when it started failing but my guess is that something crashed on your system and it did not start working properly until you rebooted your computer. What ever it was, there should be a corresponding Windows Event in Event Viewer advising the details. To check, just open Event Viewer, expand out Event Viewer->Windows Logs->Application on the left then scroll down to around 07:20 on 02 Aug 26 and see if there are any error events around then. Send me a screenshot of it like this:

So, everytime i run msfs it just doesnt connect with the close to tray then when i run it as admin its starts compatibility issues. I turn it off and it still causes that. I want to know if theres a fix for the close to tray Crash.

You should not be running the app as admin as it causes the very compatibility issue you describe.

I do not understand what you are saying about the close to tray crash. Did you install the app with the close to tray option? Also did you install the app as admin, because that also causes issues and may be your problem. If you did install as admin, uninstall it using the installer (Remove button) and reinstall NOT as admin.

Please tell me exactly what happens with the tray crash, preferably with a screenshot, or a video if it is transient and difficult to screenshot. Also, if it is an actual app crash, there will likely be two corresponding error entries in Event Viewer, so please post the details of those eg:

Thank you for the video, which clearly shows the issue. Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce on my system when using the close to tray installation option. As such, in order to determine what the issue actually is, I will need you to provide me with the Event Viewer data on the crash that I have previously asked you for but you have not yet provided. Without this, I have no idea what I am dealing with.

I am away for a few days so may not be able to fix it until I get back. In the interim, can you please provide the requested Event Viewer data. Also, try updating the app through the installer and remove the close to tray option so that you can keep using the app until I have resolved it.
