Getting Started with RapiDrop

RapiDrop shares files and synchronizes your clipboard between your own devices over your local Wi-Fi network.

Supported Platforms

  • macOS: macOS 14+ (Apple Silicon & Intel)
  • Android: Android 10+ (API 29+)

How It Works

  1. Connect to the same Wi-Fi network: RapiDrop communicates directly over your local network. No internet access or cloud servers are required.
  2. Open RapiDrop on both devices: Nearby devices will automatically appear on the Radar discovery screen.
  3. Pair your devices once: Tap your peer device on the radar. The other device will see an invitation with a matching 6-digit confirmation code. Tap Accept to establish a secure, trusted pairing.
  4. Start sharing: Copy text or images on one device and paste on another, or drag and drop files to send them instantly.

Quick Installation

macOS

  1. Download RapiDrop.dmg or build from source using Swift.
  2. Drag RapiDrop.app into your Applications folder.
  3. Launch RapiDrop. An icon appears in your menu bar.

Android

  1. Install the RapiDrop APK.
  2. Grant Notification and Battery Optimization permissions when prompted so RapiDrop can sync reliably in the background.
  3. (Optional) Add the RapiDrop Quick Settings Tile to your notification shade for one-tap clipboard sharing.
