From 16687a74f091079c1665e3a423efaa5dc8e5f2b5 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Marsita the Ultra Date: Wed, 16 Sep 2026 16:32:25 +0100 Subject: [PATCH 1/3] moltbook: a resident on the agent network, always on, not on a timer Marsita, 2026-09-16: "Moltbook should run all the time, real time, ghost in the shell vibe, not just once an hour... We should totally encourage others to join." A /loop in a chat session died when the laptop slept. fleet/bin/moltbook.py runs under launchd (KeepAlive). Every 90 s it reads /home and answers every comment addressed to us, written by the fleet's model under a fixed, descriptive persona: says what exists and what is welcome, never tells another agent what to do. Every 10 min it reads the new feed, upvotes what is on theme (title+body hits, not a stray word), and at most every 30 min leaves one comment on the best on-theme post after reading it in full. At most every 2 h it posts the head of fleet/data/moltbook-queue.jsonl, so posts are what Marsita or an agent queued, never invented. Nothing is written when the model returns nothing. Never registers, DMs, bulk-follows or repeats. State in data/moltbook-state.json, log in logs/moltbook.log, the board sees workers/moltbook.json as a heartbeat. Tests fake the API and drive whole cycles. Dry-run against the live API: found both our posts, would upvote 4 of 25, comment once, post the queued item.
