How applicable is this project to more embedded dev work?

Can sandboxes reach NVENC, I²C, GPIO, RS-232, CSI-2 Cameras (also through custom drivers like VimbaX) and other similar items?

The current mechanism to include devices in sandboxes under linux is CDI. This does not have to be NVIDIA specific, and one could generate CDI specs for a specific device or set of devices and request that when starting a sandbox.

Note that there's an in-progress PR stack ending in #2846 that would address some shortcomings with the current implementation -- especially on Jetson-based systems.
