I've been working in AI for business and research since I worked as a consultant for Andersen Consulting's AI group in the 1980's. I worked at the Information Sciences Institute (ISI) using Loom for projects funded by DARPA and the Defense Logistics Agency. I led the Knowledge Based Software Assistant team at Andersen's Center for Strategic Technology Research and worked with the USAF for several years as PI on the KBSA Concept Demo project. I was also PI for a NIST project on Healthcare Information Integration. I was a partner, eBusiness CTO, and ran a solution center for Deloitte Consulting.

I'm currently an independent researcher and very active in the ontology community. I do both paid consulting and research. My most recent research has focused on integrating LLMs and knowledge graphs using Retrieval Augmented Generation.
