I can't seem to get rid of the write protection on my chromebook, i have soldered the J35 pads together and i have removed the battery, i also did the "gsctool -a -o" minigame. but never got the "PP done!" message, the screen just went dark and also did that the second time. crossystem wpsw_cur remains 0. Can this be fixed without a suzyQable? If yes, how?

you don't always see the 'PP done' before reboot. If you did the ~10 PP presses and the device rebooted, then it went back into verified boot mode. Switch back to Dev mode and verify the CCD is unlocked via gsctool -a -i. then you can disable wp and APRO verification:

login to VT2 as root. run:

gsctool -a -I AllowUnverifiedRo:always
gsctool -a -w disable

then reboot, login as chronos, and run my script.

Sorry i mistyped in the previous message crossystem wpsw_cur returns 1 even though my jumper is soldered and my battery is disconnected.

not sure why you would disconnect the battery, it does nothing for your device.

if the jumper isn't working, then a SuzyQ cable is your best bet
