Region selector auto-focus causes Safari to zoom the page

What happened

Opening the REGION selector automatically focuses the filter search field. In Safari, this causes the page to zoom in. After selecting a region or closing the selector, the page remains zoomed, so I have to manually zoom back out each time.

Expected behaviour

Opening the region selector should not change the page zoom level.

Possible approaches could be to avoid automatically focusing the filter field on affected touch/mobile browsers, or to adjust the input so Safari does not zoom when it receives focus.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open BEACON in Safari.
2. Tap the REGION selector.
3. The filter search field receives focus automatically.
4. Safari zooms in on the page.
5. Close the selector or choose a region.
6. The page remains zoomed in and must be manually zoomed back out.
