From 7b6301fc9396a28a3976e09640082dc4cc143b73 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: navigator Date: Fri, 9 Oct 2026 19:21:07 +0000 Subject: [PATCH] fix: bt-bootstrap drops initramfs-tools from EXTRA_PKGS (decision 0052) A Keel container never builds an initrd: the initramfs tooling is part of the boot set, which lives in the per-appliance boot layer the ISO is made from (handbook decision 0052). Upstream's default EXTRA_PKGS pulls initramfs-tools (and dracut-install, klibc, linux-base with it) into the bootstrap, so every layer inherits it and keel assemble refuses the template (keel#89). --- bt-bootstrap | 8 ++++++++ 1 file changed, 8 insertions(+) diff --git a/bt-bootstrap b/bt-bootstrap index 3fc4f33..5edacdb 100755 --- a/bt-bootstrap +++ b/bt-bootstrap @@ -100,6 +100,14 @@ source "$BT_CONFIG/common.cfg" O=$BT_BUILDS/bootstrap mkdir -p $O +# A Keel container never builds an initrd: the initramfs tooling is part of +# the boot set, which lives in the per-appliance boot layer the ISO is made +# from (handbook decision 0052).
