Plugin works only with sudo

The plugin increments version code only with sudo, while I'm using fastlane in Jenkins's box, and as you probably know, Jenkins doesn't work in interactive mode.
Without sudo I get this: Permission denied @ rb_sysopen - app/build.gradle

I am using the plugin in various Android projects and I do not have Admin rights on my machine. I do not have any problems.
Is your user the owner of the project folder?
