Placeholder text for selectfields on Android devices allow selection of invalid values

When a placeholder value is provided to a selectfieldon android, the placeholder is selectable as well

This is working as designed, the placeholder is essentially the "empty" option that shows up if you haven't made a selection. However, to clear up confusing we're proposing to drop this feature: #983
