Describe the bug
I'm a recent user of PipePipe after many years using NewPipe. I'm not certain if this is a bug or just how PipePipe does things but I noticed when autoplay is turned off video thumbnails do not fill the entire screen with black letterboxing compared to NewPipe.
This is how a video thumbnail looks in PipePipe (not filling out the entire screen and with black letterboxing on the top and bottom):
This is how the same video thumbnail looks on NewPipe with the thumbnail filling the entire available area:
Once the video starts playing in PipePipe it expands to use all available space but the small thumbnail can make it difficult to see details to decide if you want to watch a video or not.
Version
4.9.2
Frequency
Always (100% of the time)
Device
Pixel 6 Android 16
Steps to reproduce the bug
Turn off autoplay.
Click on a video.
Observe thumbnail size.
Additional context
No response
