Two failure mechanisms, both of which only happen occasionally:
- Partially rendered or misrendered frames in output of
plt.savefig
- Plot in GUI may appear blank or fail to update until resized, at which point it will appear correctly
Both were seen during bluesky scans. This is likely interference between the IBEX client's periodic-redraw mechanism and rendering, if they happen at the same time may get a partially-drawn frame or none at all.
Believe the periodic-redraw was needed by old PyGenie scans library.
