404 when parsing phpBB links

I've added OPG metadata to my forum post pages, but the curl calls to my own server return 404. Any idea what I could do to get around that limitation?

It could be that phpBB parses local urls differently while curl expects a full URL. Not sure if that's really the case but I'd recommend to start your search there.
