False “Reconnection failed” message after exiting Xbox Cloud Gaming session #257

Description

Bug Report

Summary

After exiting an Xbox Cloud Gaming session normally, XStreaming always displays a “Reconnection failed” dialog, even though the session has already ended successfully.

Additionally, the session end screen always displays a time that is exactly 7 hours behind my local time.

The two issues may be related to the session-ending process.

Environment

App

  • XStreaming (latest version)

Devices

  • Logitech G Cloud
  • Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen)

Platform

  • Android

Region

  • South Korea (KST, UTC+9)

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch any Xbox Cloud Gaming title.
  2. Play normally.
  3. Exit the game using the game’s normal Quit option.
  4. Wait for the cloud session to end.

Expected Behavior

  • After the cloud session ends normally, XStreaming should return directly to the game library without displaying an error.
  • The session end screen should display the correct local time.

Actual Behavior

  • Every time the session ends, XStreaming displays a “Reconnection failed” dialog.
  • Pressing OK immediately returns to the game library, and everything continues to work normally.
  • The session end screen always shows a time that is exactly 7 hours behind the local time.
  • Example:
    • Actual local time: 22:43 (KST)
    • Displayed by XStreaming: 15:43

Frequency

100% reproducible

The issue occurs every time on both devices.

Additional Information

  • The issue occurs on both Logitech G Cloud and Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen), suggesting it is not device-specific.
  • Gameplay itself is excellent. The issue only occurs after the cloud gaming session has already ended.
  • The incorrect timestamp is consistently 7 hours behind the actual local time, which may indicate a timezone conversion issue.
  • The false “Reconnection failed” message may also be related to the session-ending logic.

Thank you for your excellent work on XStreaming.
I hope this report helps improve an already great app.
