BUG: The background is still black when backdrop type is mica alt on win 11 and flow launcher version 2.1.3

Problem Description

i was making a theme of my own and when testing it out i found out that the blur effect i had added was not loading at all unless the backdrop type is acrylic, i tried a lot of things but the blur effect is not loading, although there are similar issues out there in this repo those are for version 2.1.2 and most of the solutions suggested there are just to update the app to 2.1.3 and as i am on 2.1.3 and I'm still having the same issue

1. update to version 2.1.3
2. Use a background blur theme
3. Set backdrop to mica alt

Is this only broken for mica alt or also for the other mica?

Could you attach some screenshots of what you are seeing?

Also just to be sure you do have "Transparency effects" enabled in windows settings under personalisation?

Blur and transparency has been a finicky issue so there may be something broken again

normal mica does not have a black background but it doesn't have blur effect or the transparency effect either

I'm not able to replicate the same issue you are having.
There might be a different existing bug with this so can you try relaunching flow while transparency effects are enabled? (instead of enabling them during runtime)

It also could be caused by your specific background which looks to be animated
Could you try a different static one? Ideally a bright colourful one so the effect is obvious.

I believe mica takes a sample of the background and uses that as a colour tint - its not a true blur

So it may simply be that your desktop background is too dark for the effect be noticeable

the transparency effects is enabled and was not enabled during runtime, i also changed the background to a static wallpaper and checked it with mica alt, and it still didnt work, i even used the widely used onsetGlaze theme but it gave the same issue, i am on win 11 and the latest version as well, does flow launcher require integrated graphics because my laptop cpu does not come with integrated graphics and i have a laptop rtx 4060, does that have to do with anything?

You definitely tried it with a brightly coloured static wallpaper, not a mostly black or dark one? E.g. just a bright red solid colour
I can replicate what you are seeing when I'm using a black solid colour but not a red one.

Flow launcher should work with a discrete GPU - there's room for some odd configuration problems but we shouldn't be limited to integrated ones only.
