Refine best-effort ontology term remaps from the id↔label cleanup #182

Description

@realmarcin

The #180 id↔label cleanup cleared 167 drift rows by remapping to the nearest valid ontology term, but some are deliberately broad or approximate and a domain curator could improve them:

Obsolete-GO remaps (GO offers no official replacement; chosen nearest current term):

  • GO:0055114 oxidation-reduction process → GO:0016491 oxidoreductase activity (a BP→MF shift)
  • GO:0071704 organic substance metabolic → GO:0008152 metabolic process (generic parent)
  • GO:1901575/GO:0019439 catabolic → GO:0009056 catabolic process (generic parent)
  • GO:0051704 multi-organism process → GO:0044419 interspecies-interaction process
  • GO:0051238 sequestering of metal ion → GO:0140487 metal ion sequestering activity
  • GO:0015103 inorganic anion transporter → GO:0008509 monoatomic anion transmembrane transporter activity

Bucket A — intended term absent from the ontology, remapped to nearest existing term (the specific concept is retained in preferred_term):

  • lead/zinc sulfide → CHEBI:46718 sulfide salt
  • organic matter → CHEBI:50860 organic molecular entity; humic acid → CHEBI:64709 organic acid; yeast extract → CHEBI:60004 mixture
  • phyllosphere → ENVO:01001001 plant-associated environment; anaerobic environment → ENVO:01001825
  • Stenotrophomonas goyiNCBITaxon:40323 (genus)

Options: accept as-is (valid + preferred_term keeps specificity), pick better GO/CHEBI/ENVO terms, request/mint terms (e.g. via METPO), or drop the low-value generic annotations.
